What is a Theory?

A theory is a well-tested explanation for a phenomenon that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experimentation. In the case of evolution, the theory proposes that all living things share a common ancestor and have gradually changed over time through natural selection. The theory of evolution is supported by vast amounts of evidence from multiple scientific fields such as genetics, paleontology, and comparative anatomy.

What is a Law?
