How to Double Your Blog Traffic in Roughly One Hour

30 Oct

So my traffic about doubled yesterday, with clicks on my Russell Crowe/Noah post going through the roof.

This had all the earmarks of a Justin Taylor tweet.

For the three of you who don’t know (and you know who you are), Justin has one of if not the biggest Christian blog there is traffic-wise — Between Two Worlds, which is hosted by the Gospel Coalition.

You do not have to be of the Reformed persuasion to profit from it — a sober and smart series of reflections on things most Christians, at least most Reformation Christians, concern themselves with. (I prefer “Reformation Christian” to “Protestant,” which is so void of content at this point as to be useless as an adjective or a noun. Ask any “Protestant” the origins of the term, especially what it was that was being protested, and they will almost always be wrong.)

In terms of recent bloggage, I commend to you especially Justin’s post pointing to Kathy Keller’s response to Rachel Held Evans’ I Was a Teenage Second-Millennium B.C. Parody of a Twenty-First-Century Christian Wife–Blogger Phenom.

So thanks, Justin, for the tweet. I would reciprocate, but you’d never know it.

I like your title for Evans’ hack job. You should work for Zondervan titling books.
