That would be Die Hard 5. Everyone’s favorite disaster cop, John McClane, and the film that became its own genre are back!
Apologies for sparse posting, but I am buried with work (as in real paying work), and I don’t see myself coming up for air for a while. Saw Cloud Atlas over the weekend, which I was thoroughly prepared to hate. Only I didn’t. And I hate when that happens. I still don’t know what I think about what I think I saw. Tried to put my thoughts together about the film’s various determinisms and depictions of “freedom,” but got hung up, so I gave up. Will try and put up a review eventually, but I may have to see it again. And I don’t know when that’s going to happen.
Otherwise, we’re battening down the hatches here in Delmarva, awaiting Sandy. Here’s hoping the lights, and the roof, stay on.

We will miss you while you are gone and welcome you back when you return! We’ll have lists of posts to reread in the meantime.

Good luck with survival. I don’t miss hurricanes.
