So Apple iOS 6 showed Google Maps the door in favor of their own app. (The idea of Google anything on their phones galls them, no doubt.)
So how’s that workin’ for you, Cupertino?
How bad is it? We’re not even 24 hours in yet, and the iOS6pocalypse is already making a hash of getting from A to B for countless iPhone devotees.
Why, what do you mean?
Well, how’s this for a headline you never want to see: “Apple’s New 3D Maps Are an Apocalyptic Horror Show.” Seems quite famous landmarks are now famously missing when you try to Goog—oops, AppleMap them. You know, like the Statue of Liberty. And the Brooklyn Bridge, which obviously was finally purchased by an unsuspecting tourist.
Apple will do what it does best. Deny, deny, deny—then fix, update, cash in.
