I don’t want to hear it from you haters. There is nothing, I repeat nothing, wrong with being civil in large numbers. Three? I say make it five, six—ten!
I can’t tell you how sick and tired I am of the mean-spirited nature of most of the encounters I experience. Scowls, grunts, frowns, tongue-clicking, eye-rolling, name-calling under the breath—and that’s just in church, and from the pulpit.
And so they had to join a union to do it. So what? I tried to start a union at my place of work but was beaten into a coma. What was civil about that?
I for one welcome this advance in human intercourse.

Thank you oh so much. At the end of this day in particular, that laugh was exactly what I needed.
