Happy anniversary, Apocalypse Now, which is 33 today. I remember buying advanced tickets for me and my father for a special screening of this the day it opened. We saw it on what seemed to me at the time—pre-IMAX, mind—the massive screen of the Ziegfeld Theater in Midtown Manhattan, which also boasted an amazing sound system.
